Namibia to take on the world at the Backyard Ultra World Championship

Namibia is fielding a national team for the Backyard Ultra World Championship: the same 6.706 km loop, run together, once every hour, until only one runner anywhere is still moving. The runners earn points for the country for each lap they complete, and what’s more, the top 50 national champions from the satellite races earn a place in the 75-runner individual championship that starts on 16 October 2027, joined by 25 at-large runners selected from performances between 16 August 2025 and 15 August 2027.
