There is plenty happening around Namibia over the next few weeks, from comedy and live music to running, gardening, wine and even a crochet seminar.
Start the weekend with a laugh for a good cause. Real Men Talks Comedy Night takes place on Friday, 25 September at 18:30 at the CFC Auditorium, 4 Golf Street in Windhoek.
The line up features Namibian comedy talent including Aubametax, Lifa, Shakufweva, Slick and Funy Jones, with clean, family friendly comedy. Tickets are N$100 per person, with proceeds supporting the work of Real Men Talks and raising awareness around men’s mental health.
If your ideal Saturday involves good meat, good wine and good vibes, Meat, Wine & Chill is happening at the Wanderers Sports Field on Saturday, 26 September.
Things get going from 17:00 and continue until late, with a “Fly & Foxy” dress code. Tickets are N$100 in advance through Webtickets or N$150 at the gate.
Karibib gets moving on Saturday, 26 September with the 28th Fun Field Walk Run.
There are 5 km and 10 km options, starting at 07:00 from the Osino Contractors Gate, opposite the cemetery. Entry is just N$30, including a finisher’s medal.
Organisers are also asking participants to bring along their used tekkies for donation. Registration enquiries can be directed to Charlotte Moller on 081 240 1453.
Also on Saturday, the Namibian Society of Physiotherapy is marking World PT Day with Stride 4 Strength at Eagles, Avis Dam.
Participants can run, walk or simply get moving over either 5 km or 10 km, with the event promoting health, wellness and physical activity for everyone.
For something aimed specifically at the younger members of the family, Hooves & Gardens is hosting a Kiddies Gardening Activity on 26 and 27 September.
It runs from 09:30 to 10:30, giving children a chance to plant, explore and spend some time outdoors. The cost is N$120 per child, which also includes an iced tea and muffin.

For something completely different, spend Sunday afternoon with some classical music.
A Spanish Chamber Music Concert takes place at Stephanus Church, 3 Kenneth Kaunda Street, on Sunday, 27 September at 17:00.
The programme features music by Turina, Albéniz, Elizondo, Falla and Casals, performed by Ebbie Becker on piano, Hans Peter Drobisch on flute and Olga Jones on cello.
Best of all, entrance is free.
Looking a little further ahead, Jasi & Reuel are hosting a Crochet Seminar at Hockland Park in Windhoek on Saturday, 3 October from 13:00 to 19:00.
It promises a full afternoon of crafting, food, drinks, sweet treats and handmade goods, with 18 vendor stalls.
Tickets are N$250 for adults, N$200 for children aged 8 and older, with family and group packages also available. Vendor applications close on 30 September.

Tara House Academy presents The Beatles Musical: The Garden of Belonging at Windhoek West Church on Tuesday, 20 October from 18:30 to 19:30.
