A mom recently shared a video on social media where she had 17 diapers lying around in her house. There were lots of disappointing comments (gross; that’s neglect and abuse; how could you show that, etc) but then moms started coming out in support, sharing their ’17 diapers’ confessions. The things they do that other people may look at strangely. Things that other people may not see, realize or understand.
Examples would be…I don’t have 17 diapers but… I struggle to put clean laundry away, so we end up living out of the laundry basket until it’s time to wash again. Or, I don’t have 17 diapers but… I didn’t shower for days post-partum because I was too depressed and exhausted that I had to choose between being clean and getting a few mins rest.
