Classic Italian focaccia!!! A bread that’s perfect for serving as a side dish, for making sandwiches or for enjoying on its own. In this recipe, we’ll be using Nola Mayonnaise along with other simple ingredients and an easy-to-follow recipe to create a soft and flavourful bread. This recipe is a must-try!
Ingredients:
- 4 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1 1/2 of warm water (not too hot)
- 1 packet of yeast
- 3 and a half cup of all purpose flour
- 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- 1/2 cup of Nola classic mayoTopping Ingredients
- Coarse salt
- Dried rosemary • Parmesan
• Nola Pepperdew Mayo Spread
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until the mixture becomes foamy.
- Add the flour and salt to the mixing bowl and stir until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until the doughbecomes smooth and elastic.
- Coat the inside of another mixing bowl with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and transfer the doughinto it. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or
until the dough has doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 200°C. Grease a baking tray with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- Punch down the dough and transfer it to the greased baking tray. Press the dough downwith your fingers until it spreads out to the edges of the tray.
- In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of Nola classic mayo with 1 tablespoon of olive oil.Spread this mixture over the top of the dough.
- Sprinkle coarse salt, dried rosemary, and Parmesan cheese over the top of the dough.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the focaccia is golden brown and thecheese is melted.
- Once out of the oven, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Serve with aside of Nola Pepperdew Mayo Spread for dipping.
