In a survey of institutional investors 81% said they now actively incorporate climate risk and opportunity assessments into their investment decisions, representing a fundamental shift in how capital allocation decisions are made. As a result companies with strong climate performance and credible transition plans are seeing their cost of capital decrease, while high-emitting companies without clear decarbonization strategies face higher financing costs and reduced investor demand.
