Deep Fried Charcuterie Board Anyone?

Hartlief Sausage Board

Well, well, well… It’s true, everything (well almost everything) is better when it is deep fried!

With the current cold front hitting Windhoek HARD, I’ve been graving some comfort food, and since I’m playing around with Charcuterie boards, using Hartlief’s wide and diverse sausage range, I thought I’d give coating and deep frying them a go. I can confirm that my family and I were not left disappointed!

 

Here’s what I used:

Wiener Würstchen, always a good place to start, and just look at how easy it is to make roses! Step aside Salami, there’s a new kid in town.

Next up – Schlotfeger. This smoked, pepper, and cheese sausage is fast becoming my ultimate favourite. I sliced the Schlotfeger at an angle, crumbed each slice and deep fried it to perfection.

Show Bratwurts is always a perfect addition, so I threw a few sliced in for good measure; panfried.

This selection paired so well with fresh cocktail buns, gouda cheese, a few green olives and cocktail tomatoes.

Definitely a winning combination for those chilly winter nights.
