UN warns developing countries face major climate adaptation funding shortfall

todayNovember 5, 2026

Developing countries need far more funding to implement measures such as early-warning systems, climate-resilient infrastructure and better water management. UN Secretary-General António Guterres says proven solutions exist, but more funding and political commitment are needed to help countries prepare for climate-related disasters.
