Orange Horizon Foundation Launches Winter Warm-Up 2026 Campaign to bring hope and warmth to Vulnerable Communities in Gobabis.

Gobabis, Namibia – The Orange Horizon Foundation has officially launched its Winter Warm-Up 2026 campaign, a community outreach initiative aimed at bringing warmth, dignity, and hope to vulnerable individuals and families during the winter season. The campaign seeks to collect and distribute winter essentials, including blankets, jerseys, scarves, beanies, socks, shoes and children’s clothing, to low-income
households and vulnerable community members in Gobabis, with the potential to extend support to surrounding communities based on the volume of donations received. The campaign is being implemented with the support of the Emmanuel Congregation in Gobabis, whose leadership and members possess valuable knowledge of the local community and its needs. The congregation will assist in identifying vulnerable individuals and households who may benefit from the initiative, helping to ensure that donations reach those most in need.

Winter can be particularly challenging for families with limited resources, many of whom face the season without adequate clothing or protection against the cold. Through Winter Warm-Up 2026, The Orange Horizon Foundation hopes to mobilise individuals, businesses, churches, school, and community organisations to work together in supporting those most in need.

The campaign has already secured its first donation from Fashion World Gobabis, which generously contributed a box of clothing items. In addition, the Gobabis Health Centre has partnered with the initiative by facilitating a donation collection point where members of the public can contribute winter essentials. Additional collection points and community partnerships are currently being explored as the campaign continues to grow. “Winter Warm-Up is deeply personal to me,” said Winélia Orange, Co-Founder of the Orange Horizon Foundation. “Growing up in a single-parent household, I understand what it feels like when resources are limited and every act of kindness makes a difference.

There were times when the generosity of family, friends, and community members helped provide things we needed. Those experiences taught me the importance of dignity, compassion, and community, and reminded me that we are not alone. Winter Warm-Up is my way of helping extend that same support to others. Today, through Winter Warm-Up 2026, I hope to create the same sense of hope and support for other families facing difficult circumstances. Every donation, no matter how small, has the potential to make someone feel seen, valued, and cared for.”

Members of the public are encouraged to support the campaign by donating clean and usable clothing, blankets, shoes, scarves, backpacks, and other winter essentials. Businesses, schools, churches, and organisations interested in partnering with the initiative through donations, sponsorships, volunteerism, or collection points are also invited to contact The Orange Horizon Foundation.
