It’s been a long journey for the girl from Omaruru to the release of her brand new track. Since her platinum debut album “Who Painted the Moon Black?”, in 2002, she has racked up three further platinum albums and innumerable accolades and rewards. And now she’s back with a brand new single, and a new EP. The EP “Love is Home” was released on March 30th, 2024, and the lead single, “Rise Up”, a songwriting collaboration with Grammy Award Nominated Billy Lawrie (who has written songs for Tina Turner, Lionel Richie, and Belinda Carlisle, to name a few), saw the light on March 8th. Featured with Nianell on “Ride Up” is the distinctive vocals of Craig Hinds, lead vocalist of South African band “Watershed”.
