todayNovember 4, 2026

Background

The Ministry of Education has launched an investigation into alleged Grade 11 and 12 History examination leaks, along with claims of nepotism in appointing exam markers. The allegations involve History Papers 1 and 2, with claims that select schools in the Erongo, Khomas, and Zambezi regions were given access to exam questions in advance. Concerns have also been raised over the irregular appointment of chief markers and team leaders based on personal relationships. Education Minister Sanet Steenkamp stressed that the Ministry takes exam integrity seriously and will issue a full statement soon. She assured the public that anyone found guilty of wrongdoing will be held accountable.
