William Edward Ryder-Jones-his name sounds as if he’s a posh English toff or a member of the British House of Lords- is one of the best singer/songwriters around, yet, he’s hardly made a blip on the international scene. Bill Ryder-Jones started out as founding member and lead guitarist of The Coral, but after 8 years, he left to pursue a solo career. His fifth album, “Iechyd Da” (which means “good health”, as in the context of “cheers” or “Prost” in Welsh) drops on 12 January 2024, and has rated 80/100 on Metacritic – high praise indeed.
