I present to you, the Breakfast inspired Charcuterie Board; probably one of the best ideas I’ve ever had!
Hartlief has an extensive Bacon range, and August is all about Bacon, which is a type of salt-cured pork made from various cuts. However, while Bacon is typically made using pork, Hartlief made history this year by producing the world’s first ever Lamb Bacon.
We’ll explore the Lamb Bacon range later this month.
Overall, Hartlief’s Bacon range consists of Back Bacon, Streaky Bacon, Bitsy Bacon, as well as Lamb Streaky Bacon.
This time around, I focused on the traditional Bacon range, and used Bitsy, and Streaky Bacon to create a satisfying Breakfast inspired Charcuterie Board:
But what would a Breakfast Charcuterie Board be without eggs?
There are so many ways in which to serve eggs, but since a charcuterie board is a finger foods board, I went with devilled eggs.
To make devilled eggs, you mash up the hard-boiled yolks, add some mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper, and in this case, nice crispy Bitsy Bacon – yum!
I rolled up the Streaky Bacon, pinned them with toothpicks, and baked them at 180 °C.
I paired all of the above with a thinly sliced tomato, cheddar cheese, and sliced Brötchens; a perfect pairing with ANY Hartlief product.
And voila! As with every other Hartlief Charcuterie Board I’ve made over the past month, this one didn’t last long.
