Trade and Industry Ministries drive AfCFTA integration efforts

The Ministry of International Relations and Trade and the Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade are working with businesses to strengthen Namibia’s integration into the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

International Relations Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi said the engagement is aimed at ensuring entrepreneurs benefit from the continent’s growing trade opportunities.

She noted that the AfCFTA can complement industrialisation, regional value chains, and market access for Namibian goods and services.

The meeting took place in Gobabis as part of ongoing consultations with the business community.
