Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi met with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Windhoek to discuss the challenges hindering their participation in government projects. He emphasized the importance of supporting SME growth to enhance service delivery across sectors. Petrus Amutenya reports.
SMEs play a critical role in Namibia’s economy, accounting for about 40% of employment and contributing roughly 30% to the country’s GDP. However, many face barriers such as limited access to financing, regulatory hurdles, and insufficient capacity-building support.
