Background

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has officially launched the Dangote Namibia Tank Farm and Regional Pipeline Project in Walvis Bay. The initial phase will see the construction of fuel storage tanks and a 16-kilometre pipeline connecting the port’s fuel jetty to the tank farm. Plans are also underway to extend the regional pipeline to Otjiwarongo and Rundu, with a link to Ghanzi in Botswana. Nandi-Ndaitwah welcomed the investment, describing it as an example of African-led investment in the country.
