Eenhana Expo grows into the north’s second-largest exhibition

Ohangwena Regional Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa says the ongoing Eenhana Expo has grown into northern Namibia’s second-largest exhibition and has become a key platform for business, investment, and trade.

The 16th edition, taking place at the Eenhana Convention Centre, features around 193 exhibitors, including international representatives from Tanzania and Angola, helping to promote Eenhana and the country to global partners. The week-long expo started on 27 July and will end on 2 August.

Hamutumwa, who delivered a speech on behalf of Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare, said the expo brings a noticeable surge in the region’s population and local purchasing power, giving businesses in the town a direct financial boost through increased sales and customer engagement.

Ngurare described the expo as a powerful platform where small and large businesses can connect, showcase their products, and learn about new market trends.

He called on financial institutions, private sector leaders, and development partners to mentor and invest in youth-led enterprises.

Also speaking at the same event, Eenhana Mayor Omri-Onn Kavandje said the expo is not merely an exhibition of products and services, but a beacon of opportunity for young people to learn, innovate, and participate meaningfully in the growth of the community.
