Diemut is a registered psychological counsellor with the Health Profession Council of Namibia (HPCNA). She has a MSc. in Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience from the Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom. Diemut has worked for 10 years as a counsellor in both private and public sector, assisting individuals with issues related to behavioural difficulties, substance use, stress, depression and anxiety, neurocognitive disorders, and relationship concerns. Most recently she has been working with individuals dealing with health and life stressors such as, acute illness, chronic disease, and grief and loss.
To ensure an individualised and tailored approach to counselling, Diemut uses and draws from a variety of evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) depending on her client’s presenting difficulties, needs and wishes.
Diemut is a warm and compassionate counsellor. She is passionate about enhancing the quality of life of individuals by equipping them with the skills, knowledge and self-awareness they need to achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in emotional wellbeing.
